Thousands Face Higher Hospital Rates As UnitedHealth, Eastern Connecticut Facilities End Contract

Hospitals in Manchester and Rockville ended a contract with UnitedHealth Group over the weekend, meaning about 9,000 customers who have coverage through the insurer will have to travel to other facilities for services or pay higher out-of-network rates.
