It was interesting to learn in the meeting that currently there are over 50 commercial properties for sale or lease on Federal Highway in Delray

Not in my backyard they yell once again. The residents would rather see a vacant car dealership, probably a much worse neighbor in its day, they brand new buildings built to today's specifications. Thse stores should be approved. I just read another article about Delray's budget and the fact they had no new buildings being built in Delray. Talk about hypocrits. As for the Police, if they can't handle a 13,000 sqare foot 24 hour facility, maybe it is time they merged with PBSO.

FINALLY, this city commission was FORCED into doing something right! Had it not been for the parking debacle, this commission would have voted in favor of CVS/Office Depot. Just the thought of both our city entrances on Federal Hwy being flanked with CVS/Office Depot buildings is beyond my imagination. What kind of foresight does this commission have for our 'Village by the Sea?' It's high time for a change in the chamber.

Sorry CVS/Office Depot...but your dream of neon signs and 24 hour stores clogging up Federal Hwy is not the vision of Delray Beach residents.

The bikers have already scared the hell out of the city commissioners and run things, so give it to them. It's becoming an extension of Lake Worthless anyway.

The commission claims the issue is the parking shortfall yet they approve big in lieu parking fees all the time. Tavern Eros on the Ave had a parking shortfall so they paid approx $58k for in lieu parking and got approved for expansion during the same meeting. Different rules for different people needs to stop. Somehow lawyer Michael Weiner will get it done, he always does.
