Baltimore-area home sales flat in April; prices rise 10 percent

During the month, 2,007 homes sold in the region, up from 2,000 in the same period a year ago, according to data released Thursday by Rockville market research firm Metropolitan Regional Information Systems Inc The average home in the Baltimore area sold for $281,386, reflecting a 10.2 percent increase from $255,240 in April last year.
