The British band now calls Portland home. Gary, Ryan and Ross Jarman may have been born in northern England, but the three brothers who form the Cribs grew up loving the lo-fi indie rock born in the Pacific Northwest in the 1990s.

If you pictured a band being chased down the streets of London by a gang of paparazzi on motorbikes, it probably wouldn't be The Gossip, the danceable post-punk trio from Olympia who, despite their name, aren't exactly tabloid magnets.

The record label Kill Rock Stars , which relocated to Portland five years ago from Olympia, Wash., is moving into the suddenly bustling Olympic Mills Commerce Center at 107 S.E. Washington.

Kill Rock Stars is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year--and in their own honor, they're putting out a very special re-issue on April 16 for Record Store Day.
