Good for your students!!! Study abroad is one of the most mind broadening experiences a person can have. And the ability to communicate in other languages is essential in this global marketplace.
I, for one, am VERY proud of your students, and I encourage you, their mentor and teacher, to keep up the good work!!!

I, for two, agree with VM. I loved learning German when I was in high school.

what would be cool, if they city could host an international festival, and have german, spanish, and french students read/sing/recite their languages, have food booths to raise money to support such trips like this.

Sports are way too favored over languages. tsk tsk. priorities?

Ms Marek,

Good luck to get this paper to acknowlege anything good about Hogan High School. The Vallejo Times-Herald does not like Hogan. Very few items ever get into the paper good about the school except sports.

This was a great letter to read, Ms Marek. You should feel very proud of the positive influence that you are having on the children. Hogan High is lucky to have you as a teacher!!!!!!
