The Danville Regional Foundation has put out the 2011 Report Card that shows everything including education,health and poverty levels.

Textiles and soda ash producer GHCL Ltd has entered into a definitive agreement through its overseas subsidiary for acquiring 90 shareholding or more, in the US-based Dan River Inc, the third-largest manufacturer of home textiles with a turnover of approximately $250 million.

In the first decade since Danville lost Dan River Inc., the physical traces of the company's century-long presence in our community have become threatened at an alarming pace.
