I'm sure "soon to be" is probably the leader of the organizational efforts.

Why don't those horrible 'ol Unions just leave our poor little 'ol airline alone. If the Unions get a foot hold y'all just might as well close the doors. It will be the end of our wonderful little 'ol airline!

I hope they stick it right to the sob's. If the employees give it half as good as they've gotten it... delta will be one of the best, and have new leadership. Any place having anything to do with DMS deserves to have labor sticking it to them any way they can !

It has been reported that Iraqi oil profits of 156 Billion have been largely left in bank accounts. Apparently they refuse to invest in their own country. They prefer to let the US taxpayer pay their bills, and US soldiers defend them.

I think W and neos have created a little Welfare state.

Maybe they don't want a huge deficit like the US has.

well you know, when two companies merge, and both are downsizing to boot (with all the route eliminations and cutting of flights), you're going to have redundacies. first, buyout the longtimers who are at the top of the payscale (already happened). then eliminate routes that are loose money (already done that). then start to eliminate redundant staff, from management on down to flight crews. management--can't join unions, but it's easier for them to find jobs in other industries. mechanics, pilots, FAs---what other industries would welcome their skills? Mechanics--it's easy enough to outsource (already doing that). Pilots and FAs, cut their hours, benefits, and finally their jobs.

So when the merger happens, who's going to protect these people? I'll check back with you after the merger happens and pilots and FAs are being furloughed, which is a nice slight of hand way of saying, laid off. Do the math. How many billions has DAL and NWA lost the past two quarters?

Irrational?

Who walked off the job?
Who complains here daily while most get to just laugh 3 years after the fact?

It's quite obvious that no-one gives a rats arse about your little group and the excessive whining that you do about just everything on these topix boards. Somewhat decent entertainment though because so many come here to mock you for your constant stupidity calling names and acting like babies.

I did not walk off. I finished my line check overtime of 4 hours, and was escorted off DTW property by three managers, one whom was the manager who I made probation under from MSP. That was a shock, but it was pleasant a possible and also the second time he processed me out in my career.

This occurred on 230 am Friday morning which was hours before the so called strike. I tried to go to work that Friday, but was refused.

It was a lockout period. You are an idiot period.

Hey, do ya work for an airline...what do ya do? Ya can go to the big avenue to answer, but ya haven't let me in on this lil secret. And if ya ever researched the U of I, we trade positions with MIT (when I was deciding) in rankings...a solid engineering education will make life nice...'specially if you ever get grounded. Thinkin I'd build airports for a lifetime, just relegated to tearing them down...one landing at a time...oh well, that's okay by me. We're over here Austin-bud, who's hotter, FS or EC? I already said what I think...I'm sure you'll agree.

Not anymore I don't. Do you know anything about sailboats. I think I want to get one. Lake Travis is a beautiful lake for that. Up to four miles wide, and 64 miles long with clean, I mean clean Colorado River Water.

Bonehead... put the blame where it belongs. They locked us out ! NWA cost the taxpayers, not us ! And then nwa pushed it all the to state courts. Yes we would of stuck and forfeited the UE, but nwa took it to the street, not us ! Your hardon for the mechs and unions is getting a little old. Polish up your resume, I am betting you are going to need it ! Try to form a pencil pushers Union... the (PPU) LOL. Either that or just get use to starting over.

Those of you involved in these 'playground arguments' are doing exactly what management has planned. The fact that you are doing it in a public forum makes it even better as you get to do their dirty work for them. Who knows perhaps some of you ae actually managers goading the labor force.

Anyway you look at it you are widening the divide rather than building the front line.

Text book.

Thnaks.

How did the lockout turn into a strike? Not really sure what all went down.
