ACN Communications recently closed on its purchase of the former CT Communications headquarters building in Concord. The purchase price was $13.9 million, according to county records. Windstream of Arkansas bought CTC last year.ACN is receiving local and state incentives to move its headquarters from Michigan. The company will do some remodeling, then will move about 500 people to Concord between May and September, said Allan Van Buhler, ACN global vice president of marketing. Read more

$187,000 tax incentives OK'd to lure Mich. firm

Cabarrus County leaders voted Monday to approve up to $187,110 in tax incentives for ACN Communications, a Michigan company looking to buy the former CT Communications headquarters in Concord. ACN has operations in Charlotte and elsewhere, according to its Web site, and has more than 1,000 workers companywide. The company sought a $300,000 incentive package from Concord, the county and the state.Company officials plan to move their headquarters to the CT Communications building and could employ 300 people, according to Concord city officials.
