A Muscogee County jury awarded a Harris County widow more than $3.4 million last week in a wrongful death suit against the motorist who police say hit her husband while he was riding his bicycle on state highway.

Supreme Court Refuses Michigan Workers' Comp Racketeering Suit

The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear a workers' compensation case from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit in which the appeals court found that the plaintiffs could sue their employer and its workers' compensation claims adjuster under federal racketeering laws.
