In his book The End of Growth, Jeff Rubin, former chief economist for CIBC World Markets, argues that the end of cheap oil will mean much slower economic growth in the future.

The company will issue convertible unsecured subordinated debentures, priced at USD1,000 each, that will bear interest at an annual rate of 6.25%, to be paid twice a year on 30 June and 31 December, starting from 31 December 2012.

"Growth is the Holy Grail of modern societies," writes Rubin, the former chief economist at CIBC World Markets, in the introduction of his latest book.
