It seems the company wants everyone but them to give, give, give. If the state would offer to build a gas fired generator next to the plant and sell electric to them at a no profit rate, they would still want more.

Century officials committed to reopening plant

Century Aluminum is still committed to working out a power rate deal and getting the Ravenswood facility back on line, a company official said Tuesday.The reopening of the plant in Jackson County had been delayed as Century and Appalachian Power Co.

Major Snag In Century Aluminum Reopening

Century Aluminum has filed a complaint with the state Public Service Commission because it has not been able to reach an agreement with Appalachian Power Company on a special rate for electrical service that would possibly lead to the reopening of Century's plant in Ravenswood.
