Broadcom to lose 240 Irvine jobs

Chip maker Broadcom is planning to cut 240 jobs at its Irvine headquarters, and 630 throughout California, as the company winds down its cellular baseband business, according to layoff notices sent to the state.

I agree...this doesn't look like a bright start to new businesses like IoT...they might have to exit other markets too before they become stable Next thing we hear that BroadComm exited the WiFi buziness .
