The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the new branch at the Kona Commons shopping center will replace the existing 8,700 square-foot branch at 75-5595 Palani Road and will be the third Bank of Hawaii branch, after Kapolei and Kohala, to have a photovoltaic system

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports that Bank of Hawaii's plan to close its branches at Aikahi Park Shopping Center and Laie on Oahu and the Kohala branch on the Big Island, is part of a larger trend toward moving to in-store branches, and that the bank plans to open one in-store branch on Oahu and two on the Neighbor Islands later this year.
