One of Alaska's largest employers faces a class action suit that claims the company withheld overtime pay from its sales and marketing staff.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A class action complaint was filed Monday against Alaska Communication Systems Group alleging sales and marketing personnel were not paid overtime.

Customers of the five regional carriers will actually enjoy at least one advantage over those on Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint.

Plans for the iPhone have previously been available locally through AT&T, but a deal with Apple approved the expansion to five regional carriers in the U.S., including Alaska Communications and GCI.

Alaskan telephone company Alaska Communications has April 20 circled on its calendar for good reason.
