Air NZ passenger numbers rise in April

Air New Zealand's long-haul passenger numbers rose 4.4 percent in April and the airline announced plans to increase capacity between Queenstown and Australian cities by 8 percent this ski-season. The airline carried 1.02 million passengers in April, up 1.8 percent from a year earlier, the company said in a statement.

Air New Zealand to increase capacity on Auckland-Perth route

Perth route by more than 20%, the company said in a statement. From Sept. 3, ANZ will replace a 234-seat Boeing 767-300 with a 304-seat Boeing 777-200ER on the route, which adds 70 seats on each flight and introduces lie-flat business premier beds and premium economy to the route for the first time.
