Hartnell to hold open house for Heavy Duty Diesel Tech program Saturday

<![CDATA[The Heavy Duty Diesel Technology program at Hartnell College is set to host its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdayat The Center for Advanced Technology on the Alisal Campus, 1752 E. Alisal St. in Salinas. The open house offers an opportunity to get an overview of the program. Attendees can meet instructors, students and graduates, and observe classroom presentations, equipment shows, and hands-on demonstrations. Students in the Heavy Duty Diesel Technology program can earn a certificate in three semesters and be ready to work in this high-demand industry. Students are employed by farm equipment dealers, independent equipment repair shops, construction firms, diesel injection equipment repair shops, truck dealers, truck fleets and bus lines. A heavy-duty diesel technology career often leads to positions in equipment and part sales, as well as in management.
