Idiocy at it's finest. Question - what the heck is "air radar"? Planes don't use radar to clock speeders. And in Ohio, unless they can prove reckless op, the usual fine caps out at $160.00. And reckless op has too involve more than speed, even that excessive speed. At least the officer ticketed them - not so sure about that "arrested" part.

You know, Gahanna policeman are the worst for sitting on 270 and trying to get people going 5 miles over the speed. There is no other word for this but STUPID!!!!!!!!!! Not only are they
putting their lives at stake but a lot of other
people on the freeway. It it was you or I we would've been arrested for the speeding thing and also racing. They should have the book thrown at them not just because they are cops but this is really a stupid thing to do.

If these guys want to act this way off-duty, they need to join the fire dept...........because off-duty firemen have no standards.......they can kill dogs, pick up hookers in berlinger park, steal, run over an ex's boyfriend with their pick-ups........

I think that the officers should be suspended from their jobs. I don't want an officer that has no concern for themselves or others out on the streets trying to protect me or my family.

After I believe 20 miles per hour over the posted limit, it does increase from a minor misdemeanor to a 4th degree misdemeanor. Reckless operation is more severe of a charge than either level of speeding, and carries more points against the driver's license.

Come on guys... they're cops. A slap on the wrist! Anyone else would get reckless op, drag racing (because there was two of them), & excessive speed. Not to mention the licenses taken away

Lets see;

We now have in a short period of time:

Gahana
Piere Township
Grove City
Alexandria

All in the news for "bad" police.

And they wonder why we don't respect them.

They should lose thier jobs, but they won't. The union will protect them, just like the fireman. It is time for the public to demand fairness. They know the laws, and should have no excuses.

I think we all should work for the govenment, so we can do what we want, when we want, and still have a job.

i think it's blatently obvious that these two were racing..and should have been charged with drag racing as well as reckless endangerment and both should be fined, jailed, and removed from the police force ~ atleast as far as their duties as of before their offense occurred is concerned. what kind of example does this set for the rest of us? i'm sure they got off easy because they are police..what a bunch of crap!!!

This makes me extremely angry. What if they came upon a slow moving car with a family inside? What if they caused an accident? That aside, they are supposed to follow the law! The police are supposed to be role models! My brother and brother-in-law are policeman (out of state), so I support the police, but not these two. They should lose their badges!

Wow, some of these comments are GREAT! Yes, cops, firemen, politicians, etc. anyone who works for the government gets their offenses, criminal or traffic, swept under the rug.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease, I strongly encourage you all to sit for a few days in any courtroom-juvenile, municipal/county, common pleas-in this state and see how many folks like you all, i.e. non-government employees, get the same treatment.

Remember your feelings when you are called to sit on a jury.

I think they both are idiots and should be fired. I think it would be resonable and easy to prove these knuckleheads were drag racing and a decision to charge should be made by patrol command staff to do so.
This is unacceptable and we as taxpayers should demand resignations.
It's BS they can't be charged with drag racing they could be charged with reckless operation ....

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
