As I look for suitable topics for my weekly columns, periodically I come across someone of unique talents and, sometimes, with a truly unique career goal.

As CCMS changes with the times, so must our thinking. For example, our audience wants our weekday concerts not to start much earlier but to end sooner.

In addition to the thirteenth Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in 2011 , Russian pianist Danill Trifonov has also won the Gold Medal First Prize of the International Tchaikovsky Competition and the Bronze Medal and Special Award of the International Fryderyck Chopin Piano Competition .
