Now more than ever, college students are going into debt to get their diplomas. Just last year, the average debt for students was more than $23,000 and with a depressing job market, financial experts say college graduates will have a tough time paying back their loans.

AgCountry Farm Credit Services has awarded twenty-four $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors from northwest and west central Minnesota and eastern North Dakota.

Speaking of solving problems: The nonpartisan Conflict Resolution Center in Minneapolis has invited Minnesota legislators, the governor and his staff and state agency commissioners to take its Basic Mediation Training course at no charge.
