having stage 4 cancer, I have a certain clarity on life and death. I consider myself lucky to know when I will die, and how I will die. But it is accidents like these that should show you how precious life is. Waste no time on worrying unnecessarilly, hold your children for no reason, and always tell your wife or husband you love them before they leave. Enjoy life to the maximum, help those who need it, but most of all, treat yourself well..........Rocky......

Anyone could have lost control on a slick, wet road regardless of age. Sounds like a tragic ACCIDENT to me. Don't think the 17 year old will be the same. Tragic for everyone.

Sorry to hear of your illness, but contrary to what you say, only the Lord above knows when, and how we will die. You must have hope in your heart.

I'm waiting on all the peanut gallery to comment on how we should ask that teenage drivers submit to annual written, vision, hearing and driving performance tests due to their dangerous driving history like we got when the senior hit the pedestrian a few days ago???? Check the other story of the 14 year old girl driving who lost control and a passenger was killed who was ejected. Gee I think we really need to get these kids tested annually don't we ???? I'll take my chances with the seniors ANY DAY.

Hasn't anyone explained to drivers in Florida you must SLOW DOWN when the roads are wet. These tragic wrecks need not happen.

If that girl had recklessly discharged a firearm along that road and 'accidentally' killed two motorists, what would the penalty be?

They need to raise the legal driving age to 17 and only 16 year old can get permits. I know of kids who are 15 driving with a permit and they have no business being on the road. I feel bad for the family of the motorcyclists.

You have to be NFL (No Frontal Lobes) to drive a motorcycle around Central Florida. Besides the inexperienced teenagers, you have the foreign tourists in rental cars, soccer moms on cell phones, etc., etc..

You can do everything right and still end up dead...

Anybody check where her cellphone was while she was driving?

Today i drove 238 miles on I-95, speed limit approx. 70, except in areas of construction - and there she was in her non-descript little sedan, left hand lane, going between 55-60 mph -- cell phone pasted to the side of her face.

Everyone had to go around her - where oh where were the flahsing lights and big uniforms to pull her aside?

i drive a 1500 ram truck - and that is safety against these idiots.

People lose control on wet roads because they are driving too fast for the road conditions, which is by the way, against the law. Younger, inexperienced drivers are more likely to make this mistake.

When it's raining, slow down, turn the headlights on, and don't follow too closely to the vehicle in front of you. These crashes can be avoided.

My sympathies to the friends and families of the two people who were needlessly killed.

William,
That is true but experience has a lot to do with it. Just takes one time with that feeling to educate a driver.

A 17-year old can't legally drive in State of Florida unless that is a license driver riding with her. The 17-year old girl only has a learner's permit and she knows the requirement. If no license driver was not riding with her she should be, and according to the law, charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter.

Daily Horoscope for November 15

Taurus

The Moon moves through your seventh house of marriage and partnerships, helping you make a fresh start in important relationships. This may be painful as stern Saturn and obstructive Pluto complicate matters; you may have difficulty accepting certain changes within yourself or someone you love. Some of you may also be in conflict with a parent; try to step back and see the great cycle of life.
