"I paid somewhere between $1500 and $3000 for this". Quite a bit of difference in price, maybe if he had a receipt Cresent Jewelers would be more receptive.

Send it in for repair with the receipt and be about your business. They are going out of business and have nothing but time too.

Your Disrespect is Aweful

wang wrote: 58 years old and living free in the Vets home? Life is sweet.......... Shame on you for such a comment. Your disrespect is terrible. Clearly you have no concept of what Vietnam vets gave up for YOU. Here's hint, look at the condition the IRAQ veterans are coming home in. It's Vietnam all over again. FYI The Yountville facility is for DISABLED veterans and is no palace. Perhaps you could go up there and lend a hand for a day.

To all you Marys who are quick to critize the Wang man: I spent two years in Viet Nam (1966-1968) and I am older than this guy. I've had more gooks shoot at me than most you people have ever seen. When we came back home in '68 we were considered scum by all you liberal, anti-war cowards and traitors. If you're too young to remember this take my word for it; I'm not making up anything. We didn't complain about make-believe "stress"-related "disabilities"; most veterans just found a job and went to work. Times were different then; no one EXPECTED the government to support them for the rest of their life, no one thought they had a RIGHT to free health care, housing or even moral support, we just went to work like our fathers and fore-fathers did. Now it seems like more and more Americans are looking for the free ride, even expecting it. I don't know what this man's disibility is but if he's healthy enough to parade around for the next few weeks or months in front of the store then he can't have any serious physical impairment. America was founded on the concept that this was a new land of opportunity, where ANYONE who actually wanted to work could do so and not only just survive but thrive. Things have changed; now all we hear is criticism about foreigners taking "our" jobs; Fact is the average person under 50 wont (or can't because they're so fat)get up off the couch for less than twice minimum wage. I, of course wish this fellow all the best but I ask; how did AND his wife end up in Yountville at this realitive young age?

Give this man his refund and let's move on....shall we! Why would a company who is has a court ordered liquidation give anyone their money back? First off, they can't, there are tons of signs all over the store that say ALL SALES FINAL. Crescent Jewelers doesn't even exist anymore. They are operating under the courts supervision along with a liquidation company. The whole point is for them to sell what they have to pay the 30 million dollars in debt back to the vendors they buy the jewelry from. So why would they GIVE money to someone? You people should so your research before you post stupid things. If you did, you would know that 4,000 people are going to be without jobs over this. We should feel sorry for these people, not make things harder for them.
