Yates Center Police Find Several Baggies Filled With Cocaine

Sounds like someone is out to get law enforcement. TV newscrew is in town. Who'd a thought?

yeah i think the police my be doing cocaine or they may be selling it and they got cought so they needed a plan to get away with it

Wow, I was just on looking for news regarding this drug situation in YC and cannot believe the ignorance that goes on with this site. I should not even be responding, but its quit shocking to think we are living in a community with people talking like this on here. If you are from Sedgwick County and come for the weekends, maybe you need to stay home if you have no more respect for this community and county than this...... This is a serious problem going on, and you are all acting pretty rediculous......Must be very bored folks!!!!!!!!!!1

It is unfortunate that this drug situation has our community in the news.

an yes we think theres a problem, around here... its just in this week, its been coming from all directions, then she a lady in town keeps jumping in an going on about things other then the subject...

She is always on the same subject because all the voices in her head are yelling the same thing over and over. "IF YOU ACT NUTS ENOUGH THEY WILL COME"

most of the police in this town are dirty cops anyway i dont trust them but who are we to trust a good cop or a bad cop

It is a sad state of affairs that lead to statements like this. One bad cop,(or Sheriff) can cause people to not trust any of them.

bulfrog, I am curious what the history is between you lawenforcement in this town/county. Perhaps you have been on the wrong side of the law a time or two and hold a grudge?

One sheriff being indicted hardly makes the rest guilty by association.

no thats right one sheriff dont make the rest guilty its just too bad that wo county has seen more than one bad sheriff and whats sadder is we keep voting them in and when someone comes along that is actualy good they leave!

back in the 80s y/ c had a bad deal with the city police when they broke into the airport the under sheriff shot to dogs when there was on chains on the owners property and i can go on and on

i had never been into trouble with the law. but i have seen the police break there own laws and it does make our town look very bad

If you are not satisfied with the town, do something to help it! If you are not willing to do something about the problems, don't complain about them just move somewhere else. People can be part of the solution or part of the problem, which do you decide to be?

Even in high school you could make this town better. Have you ever heard of volunteering? There are organizations and clubs that could use someone who really wants to change things for the better.
