Fugitive spotted in Yacolt, later caught in Lynden
A man wanted by federal authorities who was spotted in Yacolt last week was arrested this morning more than 250 miles to the north.
Fire destroys Yacolt house, 3 people displaced
Firefighters from Clark County Fire District 13 responded to the blaze, 34906 N.E. 256th Ave., reported at 12:16 a.m. Fire Chief Ben Peeler was first on scene.

A Yacolt man was sentenced Monday to four years in prison for assaulting a 17-year-old that he accused of raping his underage female relative.
Yacolt Group Files Environmental Lawsuit Against Kelso Company
After four years of continous battles over the enviornmental impact of the quarry on Yacolt Mountain on local property owners and the East Fork of the Lewis River, a lawsuit was filed in Novmeber against Kelso-based J.L. Storedahl & Sons in United States District Court in Tacoma.
