Police: Man Beaten to Death by Teens

Everyone here has the story wrong. I was there, and am very close with four of the boys. I'm not saying what they did was right, because it was far from that. But they had no intention of killing the man, and had no idea they did until they were arrested.

If you were close to the boys and you were there why did you not stop it. Kids are out of control this day and age. This is what happens when parents can't control there kids. An person life was taken by evil. I hope they get the book thrown at them and go to prision for a long time.

What were the intentions of the boys?

It's sad that someone speaks up to protect others and he gets killed for it.My grandson was hit by a car just before this happened and I beleive if the driver was speeding he might not be alive today.So to the one that said it wasnt their intention to kill him think about this, anytime you drive or act recklessly you dont know the outcome until it's over and then it's too late.

Another good reason some people should be spade or nuetered at birth.

Two of those boys were my friends. It's just so hard to believe that they would do something like that. I know them as the boys who have fun playing xbox, not the boys who beat people up. It just breaks my heart to know that they killed an innocent man. I moved from Wylie in March, but it's still painful to know.

pag, you don't know those boys, bns and I do. Yes, what they did was wrong and yes, they should have the book thrown at them but you shouldn't talk about their parents because the boys that I know, their mom always makes them call her when they go out and tell her where they're going and she always makes sure they're doing the right thing. If they lie to her then that's their fault, not hers. So it's not about parents keeping their kids in line because even if they do their kids are going to wind up lying to them in the end.

My way of thinking is very old school. If you want to act like a rabid dog I say we treat you like one. The time for thinking about their actions is long gone. Death row is what I expect and nothing less! I'm harsh that's true but so is life.

they each made a decision to jump into the truck with their friend that night. Knowing they were returning for a fight. they made a decision to jump out of the truck and "beat a man to death" for telling them "to slow down." What shame, I hope each one them are tried as an adult for 1st degree murder. my prayer goes out to the two young boys who had to withness their mentor beatin to death.
My question is where were WPD - they seem to always be near by. i know they pulled me over a couple times on and near and around that street for "driving while being brown" - hey WPD - your profiling the wrong color -once again!

All of you who are friends or who defend these boys who committed this murder, what if they had been after you? They took a life and should pay an eye for an eye. You never really know the heart of another person, no matter how close you think you are!

Seth and Ethan Dorris were two of the punks. Who were the other punks involved?

So are you saying that they didn't know that hitting a man in the head with a hammer is likely to cause death? I find that hard to believe. Still, it sickens me to think of five boys spending the rest of their lives in prison. My heart goes out to their families as well as the family of the murder victim. So much grief and pain over something that should never have happened.

So sad and pathetic anyone would come to the defense of these sick teenagers. Obviously you have no morals as well and you need to be beaten. Children lost their father, a wife lost her soul mate, and family lost a son/brother. What cowards they are and hope they are given the highest punishment by law. They knew exactly what they were doing. My thoughts and prayers not only go out to the family of that dad but to the mothers who gave birth to those sickos.

I knew Seth and Ethan when they were little boys. I have not seen them since, but it just makes me sick to think that they could take part in something so terrible. My prayers go out to this man's family & friends and also out to Debbie Doris. No one wants to believe their kids are capable of such terrible violence. I think teens are not monitored near enough in today's society which allows them to run with the wrong crowds or hang out in the wrong places.

How could we possibly have the wrong story. Look at the facts. They beat and killed a man. I can't see any possible justification in this. How many times do people tick you off when you are driving to work each day. Are you saying that it's okay to get out and beat them up as long as you don't go as far as to take their life. That's crazy!!!!!!!!! If these are the types of people that you get close with, then you need to step back and a take a look at your life. I would go as far as to get new friends!

It breaks my heart to know that Wylie has lost one of his great citizens at the hands of these so called boys. We can not continue to ignore the fact that these teans need closer attention and supervision. Obviously, there is something at miss here but they need to be held accountable for this tragedy. We pray that God brings piece and stregth to the wife and sons that this man left behind in such a short time. We need to let the justice system work for this family and hopefully for them to have some type of closure.

See the problem with todays youth is everything they do, has to be over the top. Being "extreme" is the new cool thing to be. If that means bringing a gun to school, or dressing like an idiot, or acting like an idiot, being violent, it doesn't matter what you do. As long as you do it BIG. and EXTREME.
Thanks to our culture of extreme consumerism, do you really have to wonder, what brings out these behaviors in teens? They were violent video gaming Xbox playing idiots in boring white suburban america. In an america that praises violence, soldiers, cops, guns, military, football, racism, being tough and stupid. What do you expect?

Thank you for speaking out. Everyone makes bad decisions in life. These are little boys that made a bad decision that will effect themn forever.
These are also the same boys that were kind and gracius in there neighborhood. They would play with all the little kids in the neighborhood and look out for smaller children.
I am so sad for them. This is one bad decision in a huge aray of good decision.
I love these boys they spent years mowing my lawn. There Mom and Dad were alwayse very envolved.
Does anyone know about the trial how can we go and suport them?

Support them ? How on earth can you do that NOW ?
They should have been taught RIGHT from WRONG... that is the kind of support boys need.

I wonder if they ever been on drugs ?
