It may take months, maybe even years for the Wrens County man accused of shooting another man running from police last week to get a trial.

Saturday, June 27, 2009 6:39 p.m. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is handling a case where a man involved in a police chase was shot by a citizen this afternoon.

According to a release, on Saturday afternoon at approximately 2:55 p.m. a Deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was patrolling between Wrens and Louisville, Georgia when he observed a vehicle illegally passing other motorists.
