A wind-surfer who ended up clinging to a buoy after the sail detached from his board while he was surfing in the West Passage of Narragansett Bay was rescued after being in the water for nearly an hour Monday night, according to Coast Guard officials in Woods Hole, Mass.

Falmouth Academy to offer summer programs

Red tide arrival unlikely on Cape

The Cape may dodge the red tide bullet this year. Michael Hickey, the top shellfish biologist at the state Division of Marine Fisheries, said yesterday shellfish sampling on the Cape has, thus far, shown little to no evidence of the red tide algae toxin.
