Sure, he was insane when he fled from police, killed a pedestrian, then fired at a highway patrol officer. Gotta think of something as an excuse. Let's not forget to blame the CHP for trying to stop him in the first place, they will likely be portrayed as most culpable in this.

I know this young man. How tragic. I remember how as a young kid he would was all the neighbors cares for a couple dollars. His mom just passed away in February and that hit him really hard. I don't know what he was thinking or if he was trying to have the police kill him. My prayers are with him, his family and the family of the victim Dean William Greenwalt, so sad and tragic.

Interesting post. I was overly sarcastic in my original post given Michael's post. The fellow will have to be accountable for his actions, in the context of Michael's post, a tragedy for everyone involved.

Insane or not someone who otherwise would still be alive isn't. If he was despondent over the loss of his mom it is appropriate to have pity for him but how about the family of the dead man. They deserve our sympathies as well and the insane excuse is being grossly overused today. The young man deserves punishment and if not murder, certainly manslaughter with some jail time to get his mind right.

just another exampleo of the appalling lack of mental health care in this country.

Had he gotten help in a timely manner, this probably would have never happened.

well Yes I agree Kelley was wrong but Kelley is a good guy. A sweet heart and I really believe from personal experience that his moms death really got to him. The divorce of his parents that was over 8 years ago is where it began to affect him not in a bad way but just looking for love. I can say he has been through a lot and I know for a fact he didnt mean to kill that man. come on an old man crossing the street I didnt even let my Grandma walk. anyway thats not the point I Know he is truly sorry. maybe he was going through a moment with God and was ready to go home with his mom. We dont no and you cant judge him or anyone for you are not God. I'm sorry for the families loss and the people that got hit. But i can truly say he is not was a good kind hearted GENTLEMAN.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
