FWP authorizes killing wolves near Wisdom
BUTTE - State wildlife officials have authorized the killing of the remaining one or two members of a wolf pack in the Big Hole Valley after repeated attacks on cattle west of Wisdom.

Winds stir up Montana wildfires
HELENA, Mont. - Strong winds increased fire activity in Montana over the weekend, but the National Weather Service said a cold front expected Tuesday afternoon could bring rain and even snow to higher elevations.

Rain doused the Lily Lake Fire over the weekend, leading to a significant decrease in fire activity.
The 66 acre Lily Lake Fire was started by lightning on August 13 and has been making short, uphill runs on south facing slopes.
