Bee participant tripped up in fifth round

OXON HILL, Md. Dharani Kotekal, the Jefferson County representative to the Scripps National Spelling Bee, made it to the fifth round Thursday before being tripped up by the word "cabochon," which is defined as a gemstone that has been polished as opposed to faceted.
