Trial rescheduled in decade-old murder
WINFIELD, W.Va. -- The trial for a man charged with murdering a woman in 2001 was delayed Thursday in Putnam Circuit Court after defense attorneys requested more time to sort through evidence.

Engineering work to go ahead for Hometown flooding
WINFIELD, W.Va. -- Engineering work to resolve Hometown's flooding problem is set to begin after the Putnam County Commission voted 2-1 Tuesday to pay a company for the engineering work.
