129 new houses means about 200 new kids for an already overcrowded Eastern School District. Get your checkbooks ready - because ALL the taxpayers of Eastern Schools will be hurting from this. This project will cost the taxpayers about 100 million in new school buildings over the next 10 years.......

What?! I thought the Kohrs said they were farmers and had no intention of developing their land. I swear I saw the big Kohr family leader guy (Ron?) and the Kohr girls say this again and again on TV...did they lie to us! Were the rivers of tears just a scam? What is the world coming to? Looks like Mitrick and Kilgore were telling the truth after all!

The Kohrs ALWAYS had intentions to develope their land. Thats why the County stepped in and saved part of it from the bulldozer.

Now the taxpayers from Eastern will pay.

Those Kohrs arent farmers. They never were. This is the Kohrs version of farm preservation. Preserving it so they can build houses. Congratulations Eastern York! You won new taxes and new neighbors. Have fun,

Why doesn't the county use it's power of emminent domain and take this property so the land remains undeveloped. Get that appraiser that did the appraisal for Highpoint to do an appraisal on this piece of land.

Finally, the Kohrs are compensated.
Why did we waste OUR money on the Commisioners garbage.
The Kohrs won.
WE lost, at a few morons (us) expense.

The Kohr's are compensated? How do you figure? They were selling this land all along - the county ofered to buy it - and all of the sudden the price was 3x more - so the county went through eminent domain, which has the courts set the value. There was no way that the Kohr's wanted THAT. So then they start their crying campaign - and everyone falls for it....So now the "new" commissioners - with the head one a real estate developer - gives them a bunch of county money, and now they are going to sell the rest off for a housing development that will put a major burden on the taxpayers of Eastern School District.

It was a lose - lose situation, but in my opinion - this is the worst of it.....

The Kohrs will get what they want, as always - they run their cons well. Lori Mitrick and Doug Kilgore were the only ones to EVER stand up to them, and boy were the Kohrs scared. But they conned the voters into kicking out the good cops and put Stevie the developer in power so he could pay them off with a $22 million jackpot and have the taxpayers host their sewage plant so they could develop more good York County farmland. What a joke!

Are you stupid rednecks blind to politics and common sense? The ENTIRE process of eminent domain, the legal battles, the developer Alexhi Jr. and his payoff, and now the Kohr payoff.....your county just wasted probably around 50-75 million dollars. All because you stupid rednecks won't stand up to government abuse and special interests. Mark Platts and his heritage fleecers, the commissioners, the developers AND the Kohrs have stolen all your money. All the money involved has come from taxpayers....that means you dummies...and there were few protests. Why do you allow crooks and special interest groups to continue raping your wallet and countryside? If York County had forced the Kohrs to pay their debts they probably would have gone bankrupt and that would've been the end of it. This is why government sucks and all the people involved are corrupt. Let freedom and and capitalism ring or be slaves who take it in the rear.

Vulgarities to the side (talk about redneck morans!), to equate the park supporters and the former good guy commissioners with the Kohrs and the rich Lancaster developer is moronic in itself. Those fighting to preserve the land were doing so for the long term public good (cost today of land is cheaper than cost of development forever) while the Kohrs and developer were just enriching themselves. The so-called special interests have no personal gain, just a bunch of grief from idiots like you for doing something good for the community.

Give me a break!! The County did offer to buy the land (at a fraction of the value as determined by the courts)
The Kohrs' are doing what any of you crying on here would do if given the chance. They are making a profit on the sale of their land. Anyone of you that says different is either an inbred moron or a downright liar. Lori and her lap monkey should have been voted out long ago but: anyone in government is a crook. The all look out for no one but themselves.

Finally the real plans for Lauxmont Farms is coming to fuirion. I wish the Kohr's much sucess in thir planned development that conforms to all the requirements set forth in the ordinance. It's nice to see an entreprenerial venture in this day and age and I wish the Kohr's all the best in their rightful and entitled developemt of the land THEY own!
Funny how all the 'preservationist' spout off but never seem to either own the land or pony up the money yo buy it and do as they see fit. they just want everyone else to go along with their ideas with no investment or risk on their part. i have an idea for you 'preservationists' why not go to Barwood where there is 10 acres on a hill, pool included or to Airville where there is 200 acres, maure included, and enjoy your day compliments of Mitrick and Kilgore. That will give you all something to do until you pony up the money to buy the land you want to preserve. You can sponge off the Mitricks and Kilgores. Daddy did give the land to his son, so geez the emminant domain on that property would be pretty cheap.
