Portage sheriff to open post at NEOMED in Rootstown
The Portage County Sheriff's Office now has a greater presence in Rootstown and the surrounding area with the recent opening of a new post in office space provided by the Northeast Ohio Medical University.

A 30-year-old Windham man was placed on two years probation after pleading guilty earlier to two misdemeanor charges in connection with the 2010 shooting death death of his 4-year-old son.
