<![CDATA[COLLEGE NEWS Spring Arbor University SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - Spring Arbor University recently announced an area student was named to the 2013 fall session's Academic Honors List. * Lancaster: Halle Hess, freshman majoring in accounting, daughter of Ray and Margie Hess. COLLEGE NEWS University of Findlay FINDLAY - Two area students recently participated in arts programs at the University of Findlay. * Emily Barnhart of Canal Winchester, recently had artwork displayed during a senior art exhibition. The exhibit featured graphic design majors, and the work included graphic design and photography. * Sarah Zaborniak, of Pickerington, will perform with UF's Concert-Chorale in presenting "The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace" by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Auditorium. Tickets are free but required. Muskingum University NEW CONCORD - The following Muskingum University student from the area will appear in the university's production of Stephen Sondheim's musical "Company," which opens at 8 p.m. April 10 on the campus in New Concord. * Pickerington: Bethany Sines will appear in the role of Marta. AREA SCHOOL NEWS Tarhe Elementary School LANCASTER - Tarhe Elementary School is now accredited as a Heart Safe School by the Snider Community Heart Watch program at Fairfield Medical Center. Tarhe joins West Elementary and Thomas Ewing Junior High schools as the third school in the Lancaster school district to earn the Heart Safe accreditation. SCHOLARSHIPS Tarhe Lions LANCASTER - The Tarhe Lions of Lancaster is accepting applications for its 2014 scholarships. Applicants must be Fairfield County residents attending an accredited college in Ohio, with a major in optometry, audiology or a related field of eye or diabetic research. All applications must be postmarked or filed by April 30 to the Tarhe Lions Club, P.O. Box 562, Lancaster, OH 43130.
