The Wheat Growers' board of directors has named its officers for 2012. Hal Clemensen of Conde will continue serving as the board's president.

The South Dakota Open Meetings Commission has decided that the Willow Lake School Board did not violate the open meetings law when the main entrance to the school was locked during an emergency meeting in February.

Investigators believe a branch from a tree that was on fire Sunday fell onto power lines caused a short circuit in the Willow Lake locker building.
