Air quality alerts issued as fire haze approaches coastal areas
Northern California fire crews battled both fatigue and flames Tuesday, as they attempted to control a number of blazes while temperatures soared.

From the Article - The North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District issued an air quality alert Tuesday morning How is it late? The warning was issued yesterday morning, AFTER PRESS TIME! How about some actual THOUGHFUL commentary from you folks, most of what I see here is vitriolic, conjecture and rumor. And you are just plain hurting your community around you by doing it. |

First, I suspect the reasoned comment from Thinking Class came from someone in the newspaper business. The tell is the use of "press time" as though it's a part of everyone's day. Newspaper folks know "press time" is around midnight. Readers don't care about "press time" and don't want excuses ... just the information. Honest ...
In the East Bay/Sac Valley area ... a scorching 108 degrees, under smokey skies that prompted a "red alert" air quality warning for us. It's so bad that my 12-year-old had an outing to a water park canceled! I think the park might've actually closed because the air's so unhealthy. Last night 8 o' clock ... 104 degrees, by 11 p.m. it cooled just over 90 degrees. http://focusonnorthcoast.blogspot.com/ Is there any relief, or cleaner air, at the beach up there? I'm imagining sitting in Trinidad in a cool breeze right now. |

I think instead of recalculate, he meant recirculate.

but who do think got it wrong, the person quoted or the reporter? |
Maybe there wouldn't be such a down pour of negative comments to the paper if they would cover the topics people actualy care about, didn't mainly print one sided articles, and wasn't late on 90% of the news in this county!!!!!! |
