Brooktrails public hearing Tuesday for rate increases

Brooktrails Township Board of Directors has scheduled a hearing Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Brooktrails Community Center to receive public input on a proposed major increase for water and sewer connection fees and its annual trash rate adjustment.

It would appear that the Brooktrails Township Board of Directors is taking lessons in greed from the pot growers. I guess they want to raise fees, collect as much money as they can and then run away with all the cash. Are there any Brooktrails employees that make under $100,000.00 a year any more?

If you lived here you would know they are raising rates because we have to pay a % of our part for the new Willits waste treatment plant. Perhaps you should research more before you post some stupid crap.You really are a joke.

The story I heard that is "off the record", the State Water Resources Board is going to release to the district a few (25 maybe) more water hookups shortly but its all "hush-hush". Behind closed doors the District BOD decided they better hurry up and raise the rates BEFORE they announce the additional hookups available ..... there is currently, the past five or so years, a water hookup moratorium due to SWRB demands and the rumoured additional hookup and gonna go fast ..... for a pretty penny.

If the rates DO go up an additional 20 grand and the WRB releases 25 hookups then this little "end-around" manuever is gonna put one-half million bucks in the District coffers to waste any way they wish.

Maybe the General Manager of Brooktrails will sign on and validate or quash this rumor ..... or one of the Board members .... but I doubt it.

Maybe you should attend the Brooktrails board meetings, not much secret there. They also post the agenda and the minutes on their website which you obviously don't care enuf about to refer to. Same cats attend every meeting so doubt you bother doing that either. They, the board--who were just returned to office last election, are likely to approve a study to see how much water they have and whether it is enuf for those who live there. Something they have been planning for years. A far out possibility--although unlikely since the state told them they only had enuf water for 700 of the 1500 homes or so a few years ago is that they could lift the moratorium for an unkbown number of new homes. This will take years to go through.

I am not covering up anything you moron I just know the facts and you don't.Hey what a coincidence I to live right around the corner from the aiport,perhaps if you had any balls you may like to discuss this in person later on today? Let's see so if you know your friends pot is going to schools everywhere does that mean you are the one taking it? Or are you one of those people who think they know everything. 1. Read for comprehension .... I never said the issue of additional hookups were not discussed in open meeting, I simply said the strategy to gain MO' MONEY was dont behind closed doors.

2. So you attend meetings?... big deal, do you think the dog and pony show of the open meeting is really reflective of whats really going on?

3. You mention you are a "builder" and this has nothing to do with dope .... what EXACTLY are you building?... greenhouses,? maybe alittle tampering with the electrical wiring of some of these grow homes.

..... I really doubt that you are a legit builder (maybe a "under the table" gro-ho) because, you see the true builders and those in the trades in the area know exactly whats going on .... you are in the dark.

Now unless you are the General Manager or a director of the Board, keep your comment to opinion not fact. Thank you

So are you saying this rumour of additional hook-ups is not, was not , and was never an agenda item or a dissussion item? It is not realistic?

George, it was on last night's agenda--a water yield study with results expected by january, which they have advertised on their website since early this year in the water moratorium news. Some hope it will let them add a few connections--hence the new steep fees, but the state has the last word.

hmmm, I thought I said they were fishing to add some connections and get the juicy new fees from them. Only disagreement here was I thought they were pretty open about their plans, not underhanded at all. Blatantly aboveboard as far as I can tell. Raise fees first, then look for state permission to add houses.

not sure if you are just stroking on watchers leg or what but really I don't care but since you ask i build homes that people live in you may have heard of that? I have been building subdivisions in Lake county for the last few years until the housing market crashed. last I checked I didn't even post about your comments but i'll start reading them to see if you are just another watcher.AS far as facts go read them yourself Brooktrails pays 33% of the bill for the willits waste treatment project.I am hardly a troll that would be guys like Watcher I just read all the stupid stuff you guys post,kinda hard not to reply sorry.
