He needs to find the nearest Veteran's Service Center and seek their assistance. I think the problem is that he is not entitled to civilian health care and must be treated in a VA Hospital. If the VA decides to refer him to a civilian medical facility then the VA will pay for the services. If he is retired, normal or medical, then he is covered under TRICARE.
If all else fails I recommend he contact one of our elected representatives and ask them to look into his case. The VA hates it when a congress person starts asking questions about a specific case. Hope this helps. Strong Coffee |
