Son reflects on tragic death of retired crossing guard

Mourners were to say goodbye to Ilene McDonald yesterday. She was a retired school crossing guard at Jefferson Elementary in Redford who was struck and killed by a pickup truck near the same intersection she helped children cross for decades.
