Whitetop Mountain Band is a family-based band from the highest mountains of Virginia.

For 15 years, he's been making wishes come true at the Mount Rogers Fire Hall, converting syrup into hard candy as part of the Whitetop Mountain Maple Festival, held this weekend on March 24-25. "The maple syrup festival is kind of a rite of spring," saidRichardson, 78.
