Peanut festival fills Whitesboro streets

While many mistake the peanut for just that, a nut, it is actually a legume, along with beans and peas, and despite the misnomer citizens of a small Grayson County town will gather, as they have for the past 44 years, to celebrate the shelled seed's contribution to the town and the its history.
