Drivers will encounter short-term single-lane closures on Interstate 79 in northwestern Allegheny County daily this week, PennDOT officials said.

A 23-year-old Cranberry Township man will stand trial on charges related to pawning or trying to pawn $4,460 in stolen musical instruments and equipment at Waddell's Music Center in Pine Township.

Motorists should prepare themselves for starts and stops while driving Interstate 79 over the next week.

Drivers might encounter short-term, intermittent lane and shoulder closures Monday through Wednesday on the Parkway West, Parkway North, Interstate 79 and Route 28 while PennDOT contractors make guide rail repairs, officials said.

Just when you thought the lane closures on I-79 were over, along comes another one.
