The Westfield Quilters' Guild will be holding its quilt show at 21 Brix Winery, 6654 W. Main Road in Portland, on June 1, 2 and 3. Norma Cummings of Mayville has been named the 2012 Woman of Distinction for the 57th New York state Senate district.

While it is unclear if the district will be reimbursed for the current school year, the funding is guaranteed to be restored starting with the 2012-13 school year.

Westfield police say Adam J. Robinson, 22, of 45 Washington St., Westfield, raped a young female between the dates of April 9 and April 12.

Nicole R. Magnan, 39, of 5 Bank St., Westfield, was charged with offering a false instrument for filing first degree and misuse of food stamps at 2 p.m. Thursday.
