If this person is caught witch I highly doubt,they should be punished beyond any thing that we have ever seen before, and should be charged with criminal trespass,and vandalism ,I for one would sentence this person to 5 years of caring for our veterans at the Lebonan VA hospital, 12 hour shifts with no days off, plus make him/them pay for any and all damages,and after that send him down to Post35 VVNW of York county so he really can face brothers of this war era, plus I would reccomend that he visits each Veterans Organization and tell them why he did what he has done. and if it turns out to be more than one person sentence them to the same .

These human garbage (__*__) should be shot on sight. There Is not a single reason to let prix
like these go on living.

I can't believe anyone would/could show such disrespect to a memorial honoring those who fought and died for our country. If caught, the "scumbag" should be tried, among other things, for treason (crime against one's country). By the way, a "scumbag" is a used condom filled with wasted semen. Seems fitting for this worthless vandel.

I like your punishment. Also, I suppose this is another prominent area that needs to be protected and secured by a camera. What the "he--" is wrong with our country. Desecration of monuments, to a country's heroes, prominent and historical landmarks buildings, and cemeteries/burial grounds, destruction are not heard of in most other countries.
What type of person/persons has no respect for another's pride or sympathy for their pain or compassion for their sorrow that is expressed in tribute to their heroic acts of courage for their country and their brothers at arms. What background or type of person/persons is this?

Was there around 1 p.m. yesterday afternoon and everything was fine then. The scumbag(s) had to have been there later; probably over nite 'cause jerks like this don't have the stones to do it in daylight.

I had many friends and relatives that came home from that war injured or in a body bag. My sister's fiance died in that war. That was when fiances really got married after a year of dating. Her pain was unbearable. Some of our friend's parents lost their only son or and some lost all 3 of their sons in that war. My brother-n-law as with many of the Vietnam Vets took their mental pain and anguish to their graves. Of our friends 3 have died from Agent Orange and the other 2 live in pain with this disease every day.
The pain of seeing this vandalism of the monument runs deep. I hope these lowlifes are found and punished accordingly . But would that punishment be enouogh to stop others from being so cowardly as to destroy precious property. Dignity and respect, are taught at home and lie with in one's true character. These attributes are a quality that has been lost to many of this generation or at most times never attained because they have either never been taught or never been held responsible for their actions.

I believe they will be caught. They will sell their own selfs out because they have no integrity and no honor and what they done is beyond comprehension of those who are proud of our hereos.
Their big bragging mouths will give them away. I wish I had large amounts of money to start a reward to find these lowlifes. In their circle of friends money talks because that is all the value they are worth a few hundred or thousand dollars.
If we all would give a few dollars the reward would be accomplished and these scum would be brought out in the open to serve their deserved punishment. Maybe in the War Clubs or others can start this reward collection.

If you lived in york you would understand the reason for that....the only people commiting the crimes are the city kids who have no respect and were never taught respect.

Sad very sad. what it was up for less than a month and some idiot feels the need to do this. I am not big on forced public service, but if the parents are not going to teach them respect. Then give them a choice complete 4 years active duty with a honorable discharge or spend time fixing public roads for minn. wage. Some might just learn some respect that way.

why do we think it was someone from the city? are you friggin nuts? did you forget about the homicides last week? the assaults? robberies? why are police needed in the fair grounds? the young city thugs! wake up. it was city trash. city trash is ruining this county, just as trash in this once great country is bringing it down. we are the ones who protected these dirtballs, and they have no respect.

Another example of kids running the streets with no parental supervision. When we were kids in the city we had parents to answer to. We would NEVER have thought of vandalizing anything for the shear fact of the ASS whopping we would have gotten at home. There is just no parental control today or respect for other peoples property.

Moving forward, how can we prevent this from happening again? We have to fix this immediately and repeatedly if necessary until the vandals get the message.

of course it was someone from the city. criminals sh1t where they eat usually. if its kids then they should have to do community service work at a VA hospital for a couple years-maybe then they'd understand just what an offensive disrespectful hurtfull thing they have done. maybe they can learn from their mistakes that way. jail won't teach them a thing. if this was an adult who understands fully the repercusions of this and the justifiable outrage the community has-and did it anyway-he's a traitor to the united states military and should be treated as one. better yet- deport him to another country. he doesn't deserve to live in ours.

i would definatly chip in for a reward. contact the war club and see if we/they can get this started.
