Anyone that drives down Robert Street know that there are a ton of AZHL drivers on that road.
Maybe now there will be some slow down, stopping at stop lights and looking before changing lanes and such....

beaners never wear seatbelts. and the only child safety seats they use are when they are given to them for free by the local fire department.

OMG OMG OMG! A car crash???? Ohhhhhh noes.

I would love to know what mother or father would allow their child to go w/o a seatbelt in the car. And you can't blame it on the child for taking it off because this is something that should be instilled into a child way sooner than 8. My condolences to the Garcia family.

Right! Great Idea! An 8 yr old wouldn't remove the seat belt, cause kids that age always follow rules and instruction. Let's sic the cops on them all...

His parents did not have them on either...this was not a case of him removing it. It was a case of them not doing what they are required to by law. And if your kid is raised to follow the rules, the kid wouldn't remove it...my kids have never even thought about getting in a car without the seat-belt on once they were old enough to buckle themselves. If YOURS take the belt off, then it looks like you have a parenting issue...

Not to mention a seat belt could also rupture a spleen.

This also shows the importance of driving with in the rules of the road. Worst law they ever passed was if the turn signal is on, you must let them in. People no longer look, they just drive with the flashers on and you are to guess what they are going to do.

It can also technically trap you in a burning car underwater when zombies are chasing you. But the facts are very clear...seat-belts save lives and prevent more serious injuries the vast majority of the time they are used when a vehicle is involved in an accident. And another fact for you...its the FREAKIN' LAW. It is not a hard concept.

I'm not talking against seat belts. I wear mine. I am speaking toward folks saying the child should be taken away when she could have received the same injuries wearing it.

Robert Street is a mess even without someone speeding like this. Theres a Target, Walmart, Menards, Lowes, and a ton of strip mall stores, as well as WAY too many fast food restaurants, AND regular ol' dine in restaurants. Theres an accident just about daily on that stretch of Robert Street. City of West St. Paul planners, YOU need to figure out a way to thin the traffic on this street. You wanted all this commerce, then fix the traffic problem!
