The Alabama Attorney General's Office has asked the Alabama Supreme Court to set an execution date for Death Row inmate Max Landon Payne, who was convicted of robbing and abducting a Cullman County store owner and killing him with two shotgun blasts to the face.

Cullman narcotics agents recently arrested a local man for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine through the county.
