In following the recent election results, one has to be amused at the emphasis that a slim majority of West Patersona s residents placed on changing the town name to Woodland Park.

With the recent groundbreaking for the new Pennington Park Youth Baseball Field, the youth of our great city will benefit immensely.

A decades-long conflict among residents of a small New Jersey community over what their town should be called has been resolved - for now, at least.

It's the fifth time in twenty years that voters here are being asked about they're community's name.

Residents in the town that was known as West Paterson until January of this year -- when it became known as Woodland Park -- have had five votes over two decades to determine whether to change the town name.

Voters at the polls and in absentee ballots chose to preserve the borough's new name, Woodland Park against a vigorous and well-funded campaign to restore the borough's founding title, West Paterson.
