On Saturday, May 5, 2012, Amy Leigh Mareske graduated as a 2012 member of Marshall University's College of Health Professions.

The West Logan Town Council swore in a new member on Monday night. Ruby Moore took the Oath of Office on May 17, stepping into the shoes of her husband, the late Howard Moore, who was one of the more reliable council members in terms of attendance and activity.

People in West Logan are trying to clean up after a massive mudslide filled their yards and in some cases their homes with muck Saturday.

The Logan County Commission announced at Tuesday's meeting that it will soon approve the disbursement of funds for several water projects and it gave funding to the five municipalities for the upcoming countywide fish fry.

The Logan Fire Department honored Jason Conley, Tony Casey, Chris Hatfield, Nick Ferrell and Jeremy Steel last night for their hard work in completing the rigorous state and federal certification process as firefighters.
