Keeping us safe?

They're just attacking third world countries that have never been a threat to us. They're not heroes, they're terrorists.

Cram the "keeping us safe" bullshit back up your ass you brainwashed dipshit.

Why did your son enlist in the National Guard instead of the Army? Did he enlist to earn some extra money, college tuition, or both?

not to mention the freedom you have to write useless comments on this page...
Try writing the White House or a parent who has lost a loved one
or better yet why dont you pack your shit and move to the third world country and see how much freedom you have and see how safe you will be..
I think the link cards came out a couple days ago did you get yours??? enjoy your freedom while at your computer writing ungrateful shit about
armed forces who is controlled by our government..stick your head up Obama's ass and maybe he'll bring our troops home and we will ALL be happy.....did you get that.... Huh???

My son joined the Airforce to better his life.
He is proud of what he is doing and I am proud of him. Give me a break please on the money because they don't make enough money for what they are doing...and the college won't come until later if he makes it home alive...so no, not for the money and no, not for the college...you can get a college education sitting in prison...but thanks for asking..

Who forced him to join and why didn't he have a choice? Doesn't sound very "free" to me.

And yes I did serve in the Military so point your ignorance elsewhere. Luckily I served before we became a nation of international terrorists and self-appointed world police who are detested by most of the planet.

But hey, I'm happy to hear you love and support your son even though he is a terrorist. That's sweet.

I would, but due to my beliefs and my refusal to allow them to brainwash me as they have you, the government of this "free country" has taken away my right to fly by placing me on a "no fly list" effectively holding me prisoner in this socialist regime you idiots call a "free country". Apparently in this "free country" we are not really free to believe as we want. We must conform to what the government wants us to believe or be penalized.

So as I said before, you and your terrorist son can shove your "freedom" bullshit back up your ass where it belongs.

HE WOULDNT BE SAFE AT ALL BECAUSE THE USA WOULD PROBABLY ATTACK AND KILL AND TORTURE EVERYONE THERE TOO
"HUH" HAS GOT A POINT - THE USA HAS BECOME A HATED NATION OF INTERNATIONAL TERRORISTS AND ITS GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE PROUD THAT YOUR SON IS A PART OF IT

I tell you all what... I came into this topic to congratulate our men and woman who came back alive
It was a positive good gesture and I get slammed..my God you ppl are horrible...I cannot help what our government has done to this country..it has nothing to do with ME...I dont like the war{s} either...I do not support the war or what our leaders have chosen to do...but my son had a choice to join but doesnt have a choice where he was going to be stationed or anything else. He is serving his country as he knows it. Not by what you all have been thru but still you have your freedom..he does not...why are you so hateful?? If you truly don't like living here there's other ways out besides a plane..I dont know..like I said I just came in here to give a Welcome home...Job well done...kind of thing and you topix vultures just take a bite at anyone...gosh, go to another topic..nothing I wrote was meant for the hatred coming out your mouth...I am saddened tho by how you ppl are in here...your vicious cruel ppl...my son joined because his recruiter painted this beautiful picture for him at 19 and brainwaashed him into believing he was making a better life for himself ..I was against him joining, especislly at war time but he did and I have to support him, thats all we can do, this is Our country, we live here....there's lots of things I agree and disagree with but all I was doing, because NONE of this was about me or my son was to "Welcome home" the next batch of Soldiers who made it home safely..now is that so bad?? and you smartass who ever you are had to turn it into a political "poor me" saga....it has nothing to do with any of you except the Soldiers and their families....hua..not huh...

Kate, I understand what you have said and am glad that your son and others will hopefully come home safely. I think it is horrible that recruiters are allowed to come to our high schools to recruit our young men and women. They make it sound so wonderful and tell lies just to get them to join. At that age the money and promises reel some kids in. Seems like every time my phone rang or someone knocked on the door it was someone trying to recruit my son. My answer was always the same. I LIVED THROUGH VIET NAM AND STILL SEE THE AFFECTS TO MY FRIENDS THAT ARE STILL LIVING AND YOU WILL NOT GET MY CHILD!Thankfully my son understood and agreed with me. WW2 was the last war we had any business being in, the rest have been about oil and making the rich richer regardless of how many of our young people lose their lives.

Well thank you country girl..I'm glad someone understands what I have been thru...but my son is not coming home with this group...I was just "Thanking them and Welcoming" them home and man did I get slapped in the face...guess some ppl don't take the "freedom" thing and the "keeping us safe thing" the way i do...they are all disgruntled about one thing or another...my son is in The AF and is Japan for 2 more years and hasnt went to meet the "enemy" yet..but he will and I can only pray that he comes back safe and can get out of the tangled web of the government/military drama and get on with his life with a good career...I always thought, and maybe I'm wrong, but even tho my older brothers were drafted, you were suppose to serve your country and do your duty to serve and protect, but what I didnt realize is there are so many disgruntled ppl out there..so much hate...I go and do as I please, i feel I have freedom...why they don't I don't know..I don't consider my son a terriost at all...seems like we used to have some towers in NY and now they are gone with thousands of innocent ppl and the list goes on...It's not my fault we have enemies but they sure made me feel like I flew that plane right into the towers .... I don't agree with this war stuff either but it has been going on and on for years but since my blood...thru my son could be shed over there I am concerned..he didnt start these wars either...its not the Soldiers..it's the politics and government making ppl hate us but they all hate themselves [the enemy} anyway so why not bring everyone into it...{im being sarcastic} and I know we are on a upslope on becoming socialized but theres nothing none of us can do about it but write to the President in charge...{and I have} and I felt the same way country girl...You are not getting my son but the picture painted by his recruiter should have been put on canvas and framed...

when I was in Texas at Lackland AFB when my son graduated, there was a chant that some of them did for the newbees coming in..."Rainbow, Rainbow don't be blue...our recruiter screwed us too"
how appropriate...

My goodness give Kate a break! Her son is defending our freedom along with all the other men and women. Reading all the hatred replies is disgusting! This is what is wrong with the world. Do you all seriously think that every solider out there is a terrorist? THEY ARE DOING THEIR JOB! Same as any other hardworking person. While our men and women are fighting the war on terror, enduring conditions majority of us will never know, we have the luxery of sitting in our air conditioned homes, arguing on the computer. So go bitch about something else!
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR MEN AND WOMEN SERVING! YOU ALL ARE HERO'S.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aries

In recent weeks you've been quite concerned about a loved one, and things are likely to come to a head as Mercury turns in your mid-heaven. You may be able to solve the problem simply, which will be a relief all round, but there's a chance that you may have to do some serious thinking or get some expert advice before you know exactly what your next step should be. You may have to take official action of some kind.
