A West Finley man was charged Friday with assault for allegedly running over his 21-year-old girlfriend last month with her own vehicle.

According to state police, James Sprowls, 51, of Claysville, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by John W. Davis, 52, of West Finley, who was stopped in the southbound lane of Route 18 at Park Avenue waiting for a vehicle in front of him to make a left-hand turn.

A West Finley man was arrested Wednesday afternoon by state police after he allegedly threatened to kill two neighbors before returning to their home with a deer rifle.
