The couple's well water supply is contaminated with salt. According to recent tests by the state, sodium levels in the water are 183 times the standard level and the amount of chloride is 26 times higher than it should be.

Former trooper accused of assault was looking for his own stolen canoe when incident happened
The Vermont State Police just released the names of the two men that former Vermont State Trooper Eric Howley is alleged to have assaulted on April 8. According to the VSP, Aton Pike, age 21, of Wilmington, and Mark Ellison, age 21, of West Wardsboro, were boating in a canoe on Lake Raponda when Howley arrived, looking for his own stolen canoe.
